At BTEC, our mission is to provide superior therapy and training, always keeping in mind the goal of enabling each child to reach his or her maximum potential.  We work closely with families in order to empower parents to become active participants in their child's development and facilitate a healthy and fulfilling quality of life.  We recognize and embrace each child's individual differences, and develop each program based upon their skills, needs, interests, preferences, and family situations.  At BTEC, we recognize that it is essential that each child's program be uniquely designed to fit those needs.
 
 
Meet Our Team
Lauri M. Turner, MA, BCBA
Behavior Analyst/Clinical Director
Lauri serves as the Clinical Director at BTEC.  She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, holds a Master's degree in Comprehensive Exceptional Student Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Her extensive experience has included clinical, classroom, and community settings, as well as research in the field of language acquisition and development.  Lauri's responsibilities include direct provision of one-on-one ABA therapy and supervising all clinical operations of the agency, including the integration of the most advanced research-based methods of treatment into each child's program.
 
 
Emily Bare, MA, BCBA
Behavior Analyst
Emily Bare, MA, BCBA, joined our team in 2015 from Connecticut.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Eckerd College, a Master’s from Fairfield University, and completed her post-graduate program in Applied Behavior Analysis at Penn State University.  Emily brings diverse experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities from 16 months to 80 years old, and has extensive experience transitioning individuals from clinical to community settings. Prior to joining the BTEC team, she provided treatment in home, clinical, school, and community settings both in Connecticut and New York. 


Stephanie Huff, MS, BCBA  Behavior Analyst
Stephanie Huff, MS, BCBA, joined BTEC in 2015. She holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in psychology, completing her Master's at Auburn University with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. Her experience in ABA includes providing one-on-one therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults across clinical, residential, school, and in-home settings, as well as providing ABA training for biological and foster families and educators. Prior to joining BTEC, she worked as a Behavior Analyst and supervisor at a residential school, serving individuals with genetic disorders, developmental, and intellectual disabilities.



Sara Jones, MS, BCBA
Behavior Analyst

Sara has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2007.  She attended Florida State University and obtained certification to practice as a BCBA in 2012.  She has worked with children as well as adults and has provided services in a variety of settings including clinics, family homes, public schools, and residential facilities.  Most recently she served as a director at a clinic specializing in early intervention and children with deficits of functional language.  She has a strong passion for providing therapy and being able to positively impact the lives of children and their families.  She firmly believes that every child has potential to grow and learn with a dedicated family and therapy team!  When not working she enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and visiting Pensacola's beautiful beaches.



Evan Vienneau, MA, BCBA
Behavior Analyst
Evan Vienneau is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, working primarily with children and young adults on the autism spectrum. His educational experience includes a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Florida State University, a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida International University, and a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology. Joining the BTEC team in early 2016, Evan looks to helping others in need through a collaborative and supportive method of behavior analysis with utmost concern and care. Prior to clinical based therapy, Evan worked several years in one-on-one therapy with individuals ranging from 2-17yrs of age in home, school, and community settings of south Florida. Evan believes that, in addition to the teaching environment, creating a supportive system with friends and family around those in need of help is the best method for bringing change. He looks forward to talking about any needs for care and to developing a strong foundation with many families and coworkers. Additionally, any discussion of college football is always welcomed. Go Noles!


Michelle Calderon, MS, BCBA
Behavior Analyst
Michelle Calderon, MS, BCBA, joined BTEC in 2016. She attended the Florida State University and holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. Michelle received her BACB certification in 2003.  Michelle has been working with individuals with developmental disabilities for the last 20 years and has worked with all age ranges from 3 to adult.  Prior to joining BTEC, she served as a Senior Behavior Analyst overseeing the training of Registered Behavior Technicians and the implementation of behavior support programs. Over the years, Michelle has worked in a variety of settings, including home, school and community.  Michelle is excited to be a part of the team of dedicated BCBAs at BTEC. In her free time she enjoys traveling, going to the beach, spending time with her pets and attending live music events.



Michelle Ammon, M.Ed., BCBA
Behavior Analyst
Michelle Ammon is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction: Applied Behavior Analysis, and a Bachelor's Degree in Family & Human Development. Her professional experience includes working with individuals 3 years to adult in the clinical,school, community, and in-home settings. Prior to joining BTEC, Michelle supervised BCBA candidates, served as a Clinical Case Supervisor, and provided one-on-one direct therapy. Michelle is a firm believer in the science of Applied Behavior Analysis and is looking forward to a long future delivering ABA services to families as a part of the BTEC team.



Marianne Idol, MA, BCBA
Behavior Analyst
Marianne is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who holds a Master’s degree in clinical psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Marianne has worked in a variety of different settings including the prestigious Carbone Clinic where she received intensive training in Skinner’s analysis of Verbal Behavior. She also served as the Co-Director at a clinic in Northern Virginia where she helped oversee the ABA program, supervised behavior therapists, provided direct therapy, developed programs to increase skill acquisition following verbal behavior methodology, and developed behavior reduction programs to best meet the needs of her clients. Marianne is passionate about helping children grow through the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and is excited to be a part of the BTEC team!

Brandon Orso, MS, BCBA
Behavior Analyst
Brandon Orso, MS, BCBA, joined BTEC in 2017. He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Louisiana Lafayette and a Post-Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Kaplan University. Prior to joining the BTEC team, he worked extensively with developing functional language and reducing maladaptive behaviors in early intervention. During this time, Brandon served as a clinical director and a regional representative of the Louisiana Behavior Analyst Board, supervised BCBA candidates, provided one-on-one direct therapy, as well as supervision of one-on-one direct therapy. Brandon is passionate about the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, the positive impact that it can have on families, and being part of the BTEC team.  When not working, Brandon enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying the beautiful Pensacola beaches, and watching/talking about anything sports related.

Aabett Johnson, MS, BCBA
Behavior Analyst
Aabett Johnson, MS, BCBA, joined BTEC in 2017.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Michigan State University, a Master's degree in Psychology: Child and Adolescent Development from Southern New Hampshire University, and is currently working towards her PhD in Human Behavioral Health from Capella University. Her experience has covered in-home, community and clinic based settings, providing one-on-one therapy from early intervention to adolescents, verbal behavior and augmentative and alternative communication devices. In her free time she enjoys reading and having adventures outside with her husband and dogs.

Courtney Anderson, MS, BCBA
Behavior Analyst
Courtney has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2011. She holds a Bachelor's degree in psychology and a Master's degree in psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis. She has worked with children ages 18 months to pre-adolescence in a variety of settings including clinics, family homes, public schools, and in the community. Most recently Courtney served as an area supervisor overseeing programs for in-home services while consulting with the public schools specializing in autism spectrum disorder intervention. She is passionate about sharing the applications of ABA, empowering families to help their children grow, and helping children reach their full potential. When she's not working, Courtney enjoys spending time with her family, playing board games with friends, reading, and playing with her dogs.

Dena Casey, MS, BCBA
Behavior Analyst
Dena came to BTEC from southern Illinois, where she previously served as the director of a behavioral therapy clinic. Her devotion to behavior analysis was inspired by her own personal journey raising a child with a disability and a desire to help others who face a similar struggle. Her experience has included work with children and teens with developmental delays, genetic disorders, and individuals struggling with social anxiety.
She has also collaborated on research projects that have been published in multiple professional journals. "I believe that all individuals, regardless of ability, deserve acceptance and understanding. As the mother of a child with autism, I am grateful to those who have helped my family and I feel it is important to help others overcome difficulties that interfere with functioning, learning and/or social development."

Chris Turner
Director of Operations
Chris serves as the Director of Operations at BTEC.  His responsibilities include all financial reporting, budgeting, and business operations of the company.  With a background in business and psychology, his leadership is an integral part of BTEC's commitment to delivering the highest quality of family-focused service in the field.  Following college, Chris spent eight years playing Major League Baseball for several teams throughout the US, including the World Series Champion New York Yankees in 2000.  His dedication to excellence is a driving force behind BTEC's superior service!
